Feldmarshall-Leutnant (FML) Freiherr Bernard von Alderheim

Von Alderheim comes from a long line of military men, many of them not necessarily distinguished. His noble ranking of Freiherr (or Baron) reflects that trait in the von Alderheim line. But he was senior enough (and available) to command the small forces that the Dukes of Courland and Sachsen-Wachsenstein can field. The Kriegskammer is also planning on calling up some of the Kreis Obere Sachsen military units to bulk up the forces that will observe the military preparations of the Margraviate of Carpania and any other forces of the Electoral alliance that appear moving to reinforce it.

Nice Piant Job! But... he's not a happy looking chappy... Dyspepsia or just plain old gout?
An impressive, seasoned field commander - and de Saxe was cruely suffering from gout (or worse) at Fontenoy, so such unhappy expression is NOt a bad omen.
A gaudy mini... I understand why some call them (after a suitable painting) the 'Floppy Guards' or something.
I think his sour expression is because he was pulled away from a comfortable semi-retirement (and probably from the arms of his mistress!).

Being yanked from a comfortable retirement and an adoring mistress would make a man a little surly, and a surly man is no one to mess with. I know I was more than a little surly when the navy tried to recall me to active duty after five years of retirement.
Nice story, I hope he is an able leader and skilled tactician, Cavenderia being part of the Imperium and all.
He doesn't look like someone to trifle with, in spite of the heavily adorned headgear! lol
(but whether it's his underlings or his enemies who have more to fear is the question...)
