They are all Front Rank Jacobite Rebellion figures, from their "Government Highlanders" line. The officer waving his hat is one of the special figures (John Campbell, Earl of Loudon) while the other officer (on the left of the image with the red sash) is the line officer.
This unit will join the army of the Margraviate of Carpania and will be brigaded with the converged Carpanian grenadier corps.
What handsome lads, well done! I really should think of how to incorporate some highlanders into the Beerstein army...
ReplyDeleteThey look very nifty. I'm painting 30 Jacobites right now and I know what you mean about how long they take to paint. But they are worth it.
ReplyDeleteAh, jolly wee lads! I can a'most hear the pipes a-calling! :-)
ReplyDeleteI always try to have a Highland unit in the armies where I can logically place one.
ReplyDeleteECW - the Scots Covenant force has a unit from Clan Campbell (15mm MiniFigs).
SYW - these Highlanders (28mm Front Rank)
Napoleonics - the 42nd Black Watch and the 71st Highland Light Infantry (25mm MiniFigs)
Victorian Colonials - the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (25mm Ral Parthas)
The only period in which I don't have Highlanders (yet, that is) is the American Revolution. I have some 25mm RAFM Highlanders that will probably fit there.
